Nicolas Cage was arrested for a single count of domestic abuse, 1 count of public drunkenness and one particular count of disturbing the peace on Saturday in New Orleans.The National Treasure star -- who wed cocktail waitress Alice Kim in 2004 -- was "extremely drunk" when a regional cab driver witnessed them arguing in the road.


"He and his spouse were standing in front of a residence that he insisted was the property the couple was renting. She disagreed, and Cage grabbed her by the upper arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct handle. There ended up no visible indications of injury on his wife's arm," the New Orleans Police Department advised Us Weekly in a statement.

"The actor then began striking vehicles and later attempted to get into a taxi," the NOPD additional. "At that point, an officer who had been flagged down by onlookers drove up on the few, instantly observed that Cage was heavily intoxicated, and ordered him out of the cab, which prompted Cage to start yelling. The officers subsequently took Cage to Central Lock-Up."

This isn't the only time Cage has confronted legal troubles: In 2009, the IRS alleged that the actor failed to pay over $six.two million in federal income tax for the yr 2007. That similar year, Cage -- who welcomed son Kal-El in October 2005 with Kim -- sued his previous money supervisor for $twenty million, stating he was led "down a path of financial ruin," according to court documents.
