Crossing the Blues
Goodbye Lullaby is an album coming fourth Lavigne Canadian singer-songwriter Avril. He is scheduled to be released March 8, 2011 by RCA Records. Lavigne began recording in his home studio in November 2008 with "Black Star" barely a month after the end of The Best Damn Tour. To help promote his first perfume, Black Star, Lavigne needed a theme that the card would be used for TV commercials. "Blackstar" was composed in a hotel in Malaysia during his tour. Jingle was eventually extended to a full song that Rolling Stone later described as "an ethereal lullaby that turns epic with tinkling piano like Coldplay and soaring strings." The recording began with low instruments, starting Lavigne sings only by acoustic guitar, with additional instrumentation added later. Lavigne described the process: "It is bare I do this way, so I really felt it was time to make a record like that it ..

To do all this just singing and performance, and mood and feelings. "Because she has a studio in his house, Lavigne was able to compose and shoot at will. She also used the piano to compose a majority of the songs." Piano is more of an emotional instrument. It arouses different emotions for me and moves me in a different way that the guitar can. "In July 2009, nine tracks were recorded, including the songs" Fine, "" Everybody Hurts "and" Darlin '. Several tracks were written in youth Lavigne. "Darlin '" was the second song Lavigne wrote, at age 15 while living in Napanee, Ontario.Lavigne said that this album will be different from his previous work, "the other albums I did, the songs are everywhere. This is the album more consistent throughout. "

It was also announced that two songs on the album, "4 Real" and "Goodbye" was written and produced exclusively by Lavigne herself. The tracks were written by Lavigne and co-wrote with Evan Taubenfeld long time collaborators, Butch Walker and Max Martin.
