The Rap legend Gil Scott-Heron has died - American funk and Godfather of rap legend, Gil Scott-Heron, has died age 62.Having only returned from Europe, he became ill and passed away on Friday in a NYC hospital.Famous for his mixture of funk, blues and jazz style… with such hits as ‘The Bottle’ and ‘The Revolution Won't be Televised’, he was thought to be a major influence of generations of hip-hop, soul and rap artists.
